Hi , I have to say that you have a beautiful site here and very educational on a lot of things. My father called you today for Rocky and you didn't let him have the dog because you knew it was not the right home and thank you for that because he is elderly and you were honest enough to tell him that Rocky would be best with stronger persons because he sound very active. We will keep looking at your site in case you get an older more calm dog. ty.

Hi Francine,
It will soon be a year since we got Quincy. He continues to be the best little boy! He's happy, healthy, playful and oh so smart. He loves his talking toys and his new beds. He's a spunky little fellow and has fit in with his brothers Casey and Duffy (our Gordon Setters) so well. I hope his littermates that were adopted are doing just as well. Give your little Daisy a hug for us.

Hello Francine,
Your website is looking great. I'm sorry to have observed that she who wronged you continues to haunt the online dog community with her unethical behaviour. Keep doing what you're doing, because if people like you don't, no one else will. You're a strong person, that's for sure!

Hi Francine,
Even though you and keep in touch regularly via email, I wanted to post on your guest book so that other's who read it see how pleased we are with Quicy....."The MIghty Quinn". He is the best behaved and loving little fellow. I hope that all his litter mates are doing as well as he is. I just read the one from Bear's owners and they seem very pleased. I'd love to know how Jasmine is doing since she looked just like Quincy.
Keep up the compassionate work that you do and don't let "a certain person" sway you from the good you do. All of Quincy's brothers and sisters have found good homes because of you. There are some people who are able to put their heads on their pillow at night and know they have been the best person they can be. There are some who can't. You are certainly in the first group. JUst remember......WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. People will get their just reward in life......think of all the wonderful people you have met while running your rescue. Unfortunately, we all come across people we wish we hadn't.
Chin up and keep looking after the abandoned until they can be placed in loving homes.
All the best,
Barb

Quincy is the best little boy. It's hard to believe it is just only over a week that he has been with us. He is doing so well with the routines, his brother's Casey and Duffy have accepted him well. I'm so glad that Jasmine now has a home, I had a real soft spot for her too. Take care Francine and will keep pictures coming your way.

Casey, Duffy and Quincy too.

If you have questions about APR, you can email them at: aprdb@aol.com
or go to their homepage: http://www.americanpurebred.com/home.html
If you inquire, they will be very straightforward that their registry is no guarantee that an animal is purebred as all information on the animal is supplied by the owner and the registration is based on the honesty of that person.
Nov 8 2006 08:52 pm
Just an added note about animal registration. If you're putting big money on a dog (or cat for that matter), do some phoning around. Ask for references, a DNA test, research the bloodlines, maybe talk to someone who bought from the same litter. Unfortunately papers aren't always proof enough. If the dog isn't C.K.C. registered, ask why. As Francine noted, it is possible to register your animal with not much information at all with some organizations. Also, if a dog is A.P.R. registered, its litters won't be eligible for C.K.C. registration.

Hi Francine,
I just wanted to post a note to once again say thank you for helping us find our Max. He is a very sweet, good boy and I would recomend your rescue kennel to anyone looking to adopt a dog.
Your kennel was very clean and all the puppies are clearly well fed and taken care of, but most obvious is your dedication and the fact that your work is from the heart.
Best of luck and I will keep you posted on Max's progress.
Thanks again,
Melanie and Ben, Ottawa

You are doing an amazing thing, taking in dogs that otherwise wouldn't have a good chance at finding happy homes. Best of luck to you and your many furry critters! We need more people out there like you.
